Powers:
Yin and Yang manipulation - the ability to manipulate positive and negative energy. This can be used to pull said energies out of the environment, or induce "yin-dominant"(good) behavior or "yang-dominant"(bad) behavior. The user can use yin energy to heal or rejuvenate allies or use yang energy to blast or strike foes. This ability can even be used to separate the subject’s (or the user’s) body into separate yin and yang personalities, which retain the same powers as whoever the power is used on.
Atmokinesis - the ability to mentally manipulate the flux of the atmosphere at will, resulting in a change of weather patterns and formation of freak weather conditions. This ability allows generation of any natural weather condition, from fog and rain to thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, blizzards and hurricanes (and the calming or heightening of such conditions). At the higher bands, the user can even cause climate shifts (although sometimes one can only cause weather native to the area they are in). This ability is often accompanied by Temperature-Extreme Resistance and high resistance to extreme weather conditions.
History: Born in Cardiff but moved to the east end of London at the age of four. She had a happy family until she turned ten, when her mother began to get very sick every so often. Things turned violent when Jane started going to secondary school. Her mother started having fits and seisures and would've had to be taken into hospital quickly for long periods of time.
While she was in hospital, Jane's father lost his job due to economic struggles. He had a mental disibility, so the family survived on benefits. Jane saw it as her duty to take care of her younger siblings, and she did. She was overweight at the time, so she also started exercising, wanting to look good for when mum comes home.
When her mother came home, things changed.
Her mother came home very late every night, drunk and tired. Jane heard shouting downstairs and things crashing onto the floor. Then her mother moved out. She'd started seeing new people.
Though Jane's father got his job again, her mother made things difficult. She would tease him and pick on him over the phone; she would leave horrible messages refering to his disibility on the door; she would text Jane with cruel words. The family became depressed. Jane's grades in school fell dramatically.
But Jane wouldn't give up. She tried to make things better and more cheerier for her family and became a second mum. She brought her grades up, along with the smiles of her father. But all this stop when her father was summoned to caught over false charges of rape and abuse to his ex-wife and his kids.
Jane started getting worked up and stressed as the trial continued for days. The judge had decided that if her father was found guilty, he'd lose the kids. Her grades went in a downhill spiral once more and life became hard. She cut herself off from her friends and family. She was like a robot as she set her body on auto-pilot to carry on caring for her brother and sisters. She shouted more.
This stress caused her powers to activate and Jane first discovered this when her mood and sadness caused the sky to rain, thus showing her her yin and yang manip. and her weather manip.
Things turned happier again when her father won the trial! He and his wife had a divorce and then nabbed her big-screen TV (which was originally supposed to be shared between the couple). Jane was approached by teachers of Xavier's Institute and Jane's father told her "it was a chance of a lifetime", she she did.
She is happy there. However her mother isn't prepared to lose.
Personality
Jane has an incredible amount of dark humour and, if she shares her past, she will be happy and burst into tears at the same time. She can get stressed and angry easily and isn't the best at school, but is determined to win life. However she will have fits of anger where she will loose control of her powers.
